Beta decay happens when neutron decays into beta particle (usually electron) and proton. It was observed that the momentum of nucleus was unchanged (contradicting the conservation of laws of momentum) after beta decay which led to the discovery of particle called neutrino. so the answer is that electron emitted in beta radiation originates from decay of a neutron and equation for it is as follows:-
