Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate Courses

Bachelor of Engineering (B. Tech):  This is inclusive of the following fields: Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical and Petrochemical

• Candidates should have passed the SSC Examination from AMU or any examination of the same level with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• Candidates should have studied the following subjects: Physics, English, Mathematics and Chemistry.
• Candidates with a Diploma in Engineering from AMU with at least 50% marks in aggregate will also be eligible to appear for the Entrance Examination.

Process of Selection

Candidates will be granted admission to various undergraduate B. Tech programs on the basis of the scores obtained in the Admission Test.

Post Graduate Courses

M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering

Course Code: KEMT 

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed B. Tech. or any examination of the same level in the concerned field of study with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or an equivalent score of CPI/CGPA/NAG.

Selection Process for Admission

Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech in Chemical Engineering will be granted admission as per their performance in GATE during admission. Only candidates who have qualified the GATE examination with valid scores come under this process.

Note: Candidates who haven’t qualified the GATE or do not have a valid GATE Score will be selected on the basis of the remaining vacancies through Departmental Test.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed B. Tech. or any equivalent examination in the relevant branch of study with at least 60% marks in aggregate or its equivalent CPI/CGPA/NAG.

Selection Process for Admission

Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech in Civil Engineering will be granted admission as per their performance in GATE during admission. This is applicable for GATE qualified candidates with valid GATE Score only. 

Note: Candidates who haven’t qualified the GATE or do not have a valid GATE Score will be selected on the basis of the remaining vacancies through Departmental Test.

M. Tech. in Nanotechnology

Course Code: NTMT

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed B. Tech. or any examination of the same level in the concerned field of study with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate or an equivalent score of CPI/CGPA/NAG.

A candidate has to score a CPI of 6.5 on a point scale of 10.  

OR

Candidates with a score of at least 60% marks in M. Sc. (Chemistry / Physics) will be eligible as well.

Selection Process for Admission

Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech in Chemical Engineering will be granted admission on the basis of their performance in GATE at the time of admission. This is applicable for GATE qualified candidates with valid GATE Score only.
