Vipul Singh from Bhilai (Chhatisgarh) was the AIEEE 2010 topper. He also got AIR #5 in IIT JEE 2010. He shared with the media that he was sure that he knew that he wanted to get into IIT right from Class 7 and that he started studying advanced topics right from Class 9. For example, if there was a topic on Mechanics in Class 9 NCERT Physics book, he would also cover Newton’s Laws that are actually taught in Class 11 – according to the CBSE syllabus. Most students think of their dream career after Class 10 when they have to choose streams they would like to get in. Advantages a Class 9 student has over a Class 11 student for IIT JEE preparation:


  • Students in Class 11 have just 2 years to cover the vast IIT JEE syllabus while Class 9 students to cover it and so, can work at a more comfortable pace. In the final year, when most engineering aspirants will be busy finishing up their course, you will have time to work on the finer aspects of the toughest questions.
  • A Class 9 student has sufficient maturity level to master the basics of Mathematics and Science and build scientific concepts. You can opt for foundation courses of online JEE coaching and learn specialized techniques like Vedic mathematics skills, comprehension skills and analytical writing skills. You can train your mind to be analytical and scientific by solving crosswords, playing sudoku, analyzing graphs and charts and solving logical questions.
