IIT –Kanpur shines again- Two students bag packages of Rs 1.20 crore!
The placement drive has just begun on Sunday and two students of IIT Kanpur have already bagged packages of Rs 1.20 crore per annum from the unbeatable IT firm Oracle. Around 76 other students have been successful in acquiring packages between Rs 8 lakhs to 24 lakhs per annum from different concerns.
Around 50 companies have already chipped in the placement drive that will continue till December 22. The chairman at IIT Kanpur placement cell, Vimal Kumar anticipates the participation of around 200 more concerns in the placement drive. He denied leaking out the details of salary packages. On Monday, 76 students have bagged offer letters from some of the eminent names like:
- Oracle
- Mitsubishi
- Amazon
- Citi Bank
- Microsoft
A total of 1100 students have been listed at the placement cell for jobs including the ones from streams like BTech, MTech, MBA and MSc. Nearly 180 students have attained their job letters till Tuesday.
