Arjit Kansal, a 16 year old boy from Delhi, has suddenly risen to fame. And why not? He has made the country proud! Arjit from Delhi has become the world champion in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010. This is a world renowned technology skills measuring competition.

This year Arjit faced tough competition from 400, 000 other competitors from all around the world. The concluding round saw participants competing over many project- based tests to demonstrate their ability to create presentations on the Microsoft platform. Every year, this competition witnesses participants from around the world taking part in it.

Arjit scaled to reach the finals beating 123 finalists from 130 countries during the course of the competition, and it earned him the title of “2014 Microsoft Office Specialist World Champion”, making us all proud.

With this win Arijit has won himself a scholarship of $5, 000. The 2nd prize went to Pongsatorn Dhanabordeephat of Thailand and the 3rd spot went to Vietnam’s Phuc Duy Tran. Arjit is a class 11 student of Maharaja Agrasen Model School Pitampura in Delhi.

Certiport recognized Arjit and other winners at the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship Student Awards Ceremony at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort and presented each with a $5, 000 scholarship. Certiport is the leading provider of certification exam development. Next year Certiport will host the 2015 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship in Dallas, in Texas.
