The long wait is now over and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2015 ranks on the official website of Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). JEE Main 2015 was conducted on April 10 and 11 this year and JEE Main results were declared on April 27, 2015. The topper this year is Sankalp Gaur who scored 345 marks in the exam.

To check your rank, students have to click on ‘Result Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2015 – Announced on 1st July 2015’ and input their roll number and password.

Students are advised to print out their JEE Main rank card for future reference.

Other students who made it to Top 5 JEE Main ranks in 2015 are:

  • Pranay Agarwal who scored 341 marks,
  • Tanuj Kaza who scored 335 marks,
  • Rishabh Shah who scored 332 marks, and
  • Pritesh Kumbhare who scored 320 marks.

The online registration and choice filling-in also begins today for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, ISM and other GFTIs have also begun from today – on July 1, 2015.

This year, joint counselling will take place for the first time. Students will be able to choose from 87 participating institutes which will include:

  • 17 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs),
  • 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs),
  • 18 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs),
  • 18 Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs), and
  • Indian School of Mines (ISM).

The JEE Main ranks have been declared two days later than originally planned. Previously, they were to be declared on June 29, 2015 but since the announcement of joint seat allocation took place, the schedule was revised. Students can only fill-in their choices till July 4, 2015. First round of seat allocation has been scheduled by July 5, 2015.
