During a convocation ceremony in IIT-Powai (Mumbai), Saurabh Suryavanshi has been awarded the ‘Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal’ by the Vice-President of Tata Consultancy, S. Ramadorai.  The award is given to the best students every year.

The topper in M. Tech and AIEEE from IIT, the award was given to him for his research in Nanotechnology Solar Sets. He had also received a scholarship of Rs 2 lakh from Mahindra & Mahindra, a private automobile company for higher studies.
