Most of the engineering entrance exams will be held in May and June. The first step of JEE admission process or JEE Main will take place in April.

Most board exams will be conducted in late February and March too, so that results can be declared in time for JEE Advanced exams.

Please note that states of Maharashtra, Odisha and Gujarat have adopted the JEE system. They will not conduct any state-level entrance tests. State-level JEE Main rank list will be used for admission to 85% seats in engineering colleges run by the government of these states.
