when total internal reflection just takes place from lateral surface

i = 60 degree = C

sin 60 = sin C = 1/ mu

mu = 2/sqrt(3)

time taken by lght to taverse some distance in a medium t = mu * x / c

t = 2 / sqrt(3) * 10^3 / 3 *10^8

t = 3.85 m sec
