DEAR SREE,
                                   ELECTRICITY IS NOTHING BUT CURRENT.IT IS DEFINED AS THE FLOW OF CHARGE PER UNIT TIME.UNIT IS AMPERE.

The electric current  can be defined as the flow of electrons per unit area , 
but when u are talking abt electricity , then its actually a sum total of many branches of current suming total . 
Electricity have a very wide well known effect such as lightening , charge transfer , etc . 
ITS A PHYSICAL PHENOMENA . 
the unit of electric current (defined above ) is ampere .
