Dear stiudent,
A body can be charged by conduction, induction and by rubbing(friction).
In the process of charging by induction, a charged body is brought near an uncharged body. Due to electrostatic attraction and repulsion, the charges of opposite nature in the uncharged body move towards the charged body side and the similar charges to that of charged body move towards the opposite site of uncharged body. Later the body is earthed to flow excessive charges into the earth and hence the body attains a net charge.
