Two fixed charges "a" and "b" of5microcolomb charge each distance between the charges is 6m. "c" is the mid point of the line joining a and b. A charge of minus 5microcolomb is shot perpendicularly to the line joining a and b through c with a k.e 0.06j. The charge q to rest at a point d. The distance cd is

Dist ab=6m , charge shot at right angles from point c which is midpoint of ab. So it became the perendicular bisector of angle made at d so the triangles formed are 45°-45°90° we know that base is 3m(1/2of6) =1/√2 hypotenuse using Pythagoras them we get dist cd=3m
