Two equak positive charges Q are fixed at a point (a,0) and (-a,0) on the x axis .an opposite charges -q at a rest is released from point (0,a) on the y axis .the charge -q will a) move to infinityB)move to origin and rest there.C)undergo SHM abiut the origin.D) execute oscillatory periodic motion but not SHM

As the force on particle is not directly proportional to x as the distance of charge is not negligible wrt distance between charges. So particle will execute oscillatory periodic motion but not SHM.Hope it clears. If u have doubts then please clearify. And if u like my answer then please approve answer
