PLS EXPLAIN...
the assumption that tht wire is infinitely long is vry impt. without this assumption, we cannot take electric field to b perpendicular to the curved part if the cylindrical gaussian surfaace.why...?

because it would be very difficult to calculate the flux
or if u wish to get complexes u can approach via other method
afterall gauss las is a simplified way to calculate out the elextricfield
approve if useful
