From the planck’s enery eqn. we know,
hv = hv0 + W1
or
hv/e = W1/e + Vs
 
y = +mx – c
now m is the slope that is v and Work function is the intercept.
Now for greater work function intercept that is negative intercept would be more and the graph would shift lower depending on the frequency .i.e. slope.
