The flux due to a corner charge on opposite face is q/24* epsilon. This comes due to symmetry. Assume there are 8 such small cubes. It forms a big cube. Flux entering each small is 1/8of total and then through each face is 1/3 of that . There are 4 such charges. There is no flux due to corner charge on same side. Therefore value of N is 4
