how to solve problems in which one capacitor is charged and connected to a battery.ie final charge on capacitors etc

Capacitor is charged to a potential of Q = CV
So potential of a capacitor is V = Q/C
Now it is connected with battery, there would be discharging now against the battery potential.....
Use law of conservation of charge,,,,
