Eletric field intensity is given by kq/r²

SInce both charge are equal and at are equal distance from point.

So magnitude of electric field due to these charge will be equal but will be in opposite direction.

So resultant electric field intensity at midpoint will be zero.

sorry i understand both charge of same sign.

If both are of opposite sign then direction should be toward -ve charge.
