A thin wire is bent in the form of a complete ring of radius R and charge Q. It is placed in y-z plane with centre at origin. The position of a point where electric field is maximum?

So for calculating the position where the electric field is maximum, simply differentiate the equation for magnitude of electric field of ring at axial point (which we already know) and equate it to zero.
So by doing all we w get distance x=R/✓2 , where R is the radius of ring.
