is there any major difference between potential energy and electric potential?

Potential energy and electric potential are different thing.


"potential at a point A is equal to the change in electric potential energy per unit test charge when it is moved from reference point to the point A ( generely reference point is at infinity) .

VA = (UA -UP)/q
