Why is it that the neutral point of a dipole with uneual charges lies closer to the smaller charge??

the neutral point refers to the point where net charge is 0,
now the intesity of charge decreases as distance increases away from a charge hence
when the charges are unequal,
q1/q2=[r2/r1]^2
since q1 is more r1 is less and vice versa.
