E_x=-(dV/dx)_(1,2) = -(slope of V-x graph at x=1 and y=2)

slope of V-x graph can be obtained from fig1

slope=4/2=2      (for y=2)

E_x= -2

similarly E_y= -(2/2)=-1  ,from fig2 for x=1

E=E_xi + E_yj= -2i-j V/m
