dq = 2Πydxσ = 2Πrσxdx/l

for this ring potential at vertex = dV = ∫kdq/x

integrating from 0 - L ,
     
         V = 2Πkrσ = Q / 2Πε0L

Now work done = Vq = Qq / 2Πε0L
