Oxidation is a process in which any of the following can occur-
1. loss of Electrons.
2. removal of Hydrogen.
3. Addition of Oxygen.
Oxidizing Agent is a substance that oxidizes any other substances resources and information return the Oxidizing Agent gets reduced. Examples - KMnO4, K2Cr2O7, OsO4.
