AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) invites applicants for admission to various Undergraduate Engineering and Architecture programs in several institutes across India. The AIEEE assess eligible candidates on their knowledge of various subjects for admission to these programs. The medium of the AIEEE examination is both in English and Hindi.

Every year, nearly eight to nine lakh candidates compete for 17,163 seats for admission into B.E. and B. Tech programs and 759 seats for B. Arch and B. Planning programs in several National Institutes of Technology, Technical institutes, Government-funded institutes and Deemed Universities,.

Every year, the AIEEE is conducted by the Department of Secondary and Higher Education under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and C.B.S.E (Central Board of Secondary Education). The All India Engineering Entrance Examination is held primarily to transform the complication of abundance of entrance examinations. This way, the professional standards for admission of different institutes is ensured.

Eligible candidates get an AIR (All India Ranking) which determines their National Rank as well as State Rank (SR), indicating their merit at the state level.

Benefits of the AIEEE Examination 

The AIEEE is held for admission into various degree programs in Architecture, Engineering, and Pharmacy at different institutions. However, it is not covered by both JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) and SLEE (State Level Entrance Examination). After the examination, candidates may enroll for both paid and unpaid seats for the various courses, depending on their AIR in the merit list.

Combination of subjects at HSC level 

This is a list of course-wise combination of subjects that candidates must have had at the HSC level:

B.E or B. Tech candidates must have Mathematics, Physics, and any of these options: Biology/Bio-technology/Chemistry/Computer Science.

B. Pharmacy candidates must have Chemistry, Physics and any one of these options: Biology/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Mathematics.

B. Arch or B. Planning candidates must have Chemistry, Physics and any one of these options: Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology/Engineering Drawing.

 

AIEEE 2012 Application Forms

AIEEE 2012 will consist of two modes of examination:

  • Online Examination which is a Computer Based Test.
  • Offline Examination (Pen & Paper mode) as usually conducted.

Candidates will have time to submit their Application forms Online from November 15th 2011 to December 31st 2011. For AIEEE 2012 Examination, candidates have to submit their Applications forms before January 5th, 2012.

AIEEE 2012 Eligibility

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AIEEE 2012 is that the student must have cleared his/her 10+2 education with minimum 50% marks for the candidates in general category and for SC/ST/OBC/PH its 40%.

AIEEE 2012 Exam Dates

11th AIEEE exam will be conducted on 29th April, 2012 by C.B.S.E

  • AIEEE (2012) Offline Examination will be on 29th April, 2012.
  • AIEEE 2012 Online Examination only (CBT Mode) will be conducted from 7th to 25th of May, 2012.

Timings 

  • PAPER – I: 9.30 A.M.-12.30 P.M.
  • PAPER – II:  2. 00 P.M.-5.00 P.M.

AIEEE 2012 Admit cards will be dispatched from March 10th, 2012 to March 31st, 2012.

CBT AIEEE 2012

AIEEE 2012 Online Examination or  CBT AIEEE 2012 is a Computer based test which will be conducted online by making use of the Local Area Network (LAN) to provide candidates with a safer, more secure and un-interrupted experience of examination. Candidates who have opted for AIEEE 2012 offline examination (paper based test) cannot avail this facility.
