CBT AIEEE 2012

AIEEE 2012 will consist of two modes of examination:

  • Online Examination which will be a Computer Based Test
  • Offline Examination as usually conducted (Pen & Paper)

AIEEE 2012 Online Examination or  CBT AIEEE 2012 is a Computer based test which will be conducted online by making use of the Local Area Network (LAN) to provide candidates with a safer, more secure and un-interrupted experience of examination. Candidates who have opted for AIEEE 2012 offline examination (paper based test) cannot avail this facility.

Important Notice (Last Date for the Selection of Dates for the online examination has been postponed till February 7th, 2012)

 

Candidates who have opted for AIEEE 2012 (Online Examination) mode are advised to make note of the following notice: 

 

  • The AIEEE – 2012 online examination will be conducted from May 7th, 2012 to May 26th, 2012. Candidates have to visit the AIEEE website to select the date for the online examination. Initially this facility was provided from Jan 17th, 2012 to Jan 31st, 2012. Now, the Last Date for the Selection of Dates for the online examination has been postponed till February 7th, 2012.

 

  • The AIEEE 2012 online examination dates are May 7th, May 12th, May 19th and May 26th.  Candidates may select the date of their choice. Dates will be given on first come first serve basis. If a specific date has no capacity, then candidates have to select another available date. Therefore, candidates are advised to make their selection of date for AIEEE 2012 online examination as soon as possible to avoid non availability of date of their choice.

 

  • Candidates who will fail to select a date for AIEEE 2012 online exam before the Last date (February 7th2012) they will be allotted a date as per the availability by the Board. No change regarding the date for online examination will be entertained whatsoever.

CBSE experts say that the AIEEE 2012 Online Examination (CBT Mode Test) is Comfortable and Flexible.

Advantages of AIEEE 2012 CBT Online Examination: 

  • Candidates can conveniently choose any of the AIEEE 2012 Online Exam slots, either at morning (from 9 A.M to 12 Noon) or in the afternoon (from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M)
  • Candidates can select any of the AIEEE 2012 Test Scheduled dates between May 7th 2012 and May 26th 2012.
  • As compared to the Offline Examination, candidates get to save Rs. 300 for the Examination Fee.
  • Candidates appearing for the CBT AIEEE 2012 can answer by just clicking with a mouse as compared to students appearing for Offline examination who have to circle the correct option. CBT mode saves time.
  • Candidates can edit the Options and may also change the options for the Questions. This can’t be done for the offline Examination.
  • Candidates appearing for the CBT mode can practice in advance.
  • Candidates may also switch from one language to another.

AIEEE 2012 CBT for Online Examination (Instructions and Guidelines)

  1. The duration of the AIEEE 2012 CBT Online Examination is 3 hours.
  2. The AIEEE 2012 CBT Online Examination consists of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with equal weightage.
  3. The AIEEE 2012 CBT Online Examination consists of Three Parts in the Question Paper. A (Physics), B (Chemistry) & C (Mathematics). For every Correct Answer, candidates will be rewarded with 4 Marks.
  4. For every incorrect answer, ¼th of Mark will be deducted. If an answer is not indicated to any of the options, then there will be no ¼th mark deduction from the total Marks.
  5. Candidates have to mark only one correct answer from the given options.
  6. Candidates will not be allowed to carry any Textual, Printed or Written Materials. Mobile Phones, Calculators etc. are strictly prohibited.
  7. Candidates must carry his/her AIEEE 2012 Admit Card and Identity Proof. Candidates who will violate the rules shall be not allowed to enter the Examination hall.
  8. Candidates will be provided with a Rough Sheet by the invigilator for all Calculations / Written Work.
  9. Candidates have to show their AIEEE 2012 Admit Cards to the Invigilators.

10.  Candidates cannot leave their seat until the Examination is over.

11.  Candidates may leave the Examination hall with Special Permission granted from the Superintendent or Invigilator.
