JEE Advanced 2022 will be held on August 28, 2022. The examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). If you are appearing for the exam, here are the five things that you must do in the last 30 days before the JEE Advanced:
Students think that a 3-hour test would eat more of their time than they can afford. The truth is taking a test and reviewing it to learn about what mistakes you've made is the best strategy to boost your scores in the actual exam. So, do not underestimate the power of taking a lot of mock tests.
The best way to analyze your performance after taking a test is to sit with a pen and paper and go through the entire test thoroughly. Check your answers against the given solutions.
Make sure to time yourself so you can get an idea about the time you took to answer each question. If you took too much time to solve a question, try to find tips and tricks you can use to increase your speed and accuracy.
Use a separate notebook to maintain a log of all the topics you're having trouble with. Make sure to revise these topics daily until you're confident about them.
AskIITians AITS (All India Test Series) for IIT JEE or JEE Advanced aspirants provide you with mock tests designed by experts as well as a detailed analysis report with recommendations for further improvement.
The last month before the JEE Advanced is not the time to start learning new topics or concepts. It is the time to revise whatever you have already learned.
Make sure you have completed your entire syllabus at least once before you start revising.
Once you're done with that, create a list of all the topics and concepts you're weak at.
Now, go through your class notes and revise these topics thoroughly. Make sure you understand everything before moving on to the next topic.
You can start with important topics for JEE Advanced 2022 exam (that carry a higher weightage in the exam) and then move on to the others. For example, in Physics, you can start by revising:
In Chemistry, you should first revise:
In Mathematics, practice questions from the following chapters first:
It's the best way to practice and recall what you have learned.
Solving previous years' papers will also give you an idea about the type of questions asked in the exam. You will get to know the difficulty level of the questions and the kind of questions being asked on each topic.
Make sure you solve these papers under timed conditions so that you can get an idea about the time you should spend on each question.
Also, try to solve the most difficult and challenging questions, and seek help if you can't understand them.
Have you heard about the askIITian's topic-based capsule programs? They are designed by IITians to help you with the exact topic you are struggling with. You can subscribe to them at just INR 99!
Take two full-length tests every alternative day - from 9 am to 12 noon, and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm to train your body and mind for the examination day.
This will help you develop the stamina to sit for long hours and solve challenging questions. If you find that you are getting tired too easily and find it difficult to focus, on the first paper or the second paper, or both, it is time to check your:
You should also take short breaks in between to rejuvenate your mind and body. Take a walk, listen to music or do something that relaxes you. But make sure you get back to solving papers within the next 20 minutes. This will help you stay focused and not lose momentum.
Having a plan B always helps. You should have a strategy in place for the unthinkable - what if you get stuck on a question? Do not panic, and follow these steps:
