SRM Medical College Application Form 2015

SRM medical college entrance exam 2015 application was issued in November. There were two options for filling up and submitting SRM medical entrance exam 2015 application form:

• Offline mode: One had to fill the OMR sheet safely and send it to the university, and

• Online mode: One had to fill the online SRM medical application form 2015 and pay using a pre-paid Unique Voucher Code or through e-payment mode.

Last date to fill the form was March , 2015. The application fee is Rs 900/-.

Students, who apply offline, can download the online application form and send the DD of that amount drawn in the favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai before the specified application submission deadline or buy the form from select branches of Axis Bank, City Union Bank, Indian Bank, Karur Vysya Bank and post of­fices as mentioned on the official website of SRM.

Make sure you provide the correct mobile number and email ID in the form as all the communication by SRM University will be done through SMS and email at various stages of admission process. Before you submit the filled-in application, make sure to retain its photocopy for future reference.

SRM Medical Entrance Exam Pattern

SRMEE prepares a common paper for engineering and medical aspirants. The duration of the exam is two and a half hours or 150 minutes. It has four parts:

• Part 1: Physics

• It has 35 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks.

• Part 2: Chemistry

• It has 35 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks.

• Part 3: Mathematics

• It has 35 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks.

• Part 4: Biology

• It has 50 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks.

In 2015, those who appeared for engineering entrance exam had to attempt Part 1, 2 and 3 of the question paper. But those who appeared for SRM university medical entrance exam 2015 had to attempt Part 1, 2 and 4 of the question paper.

Each question in Physics, Chemistry and Math sections carry 3 marks while each question in Biology section carries 2.1 marks.

There is negative marking in the exam. One-third marks of the question are deducted for each incorrect answer. It means that in Physics, Chemistry and Maths, 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer while in Biology, 0.7 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.

Admit Card or Hall Ticket

The hall ticket or admit card for SRM MBBS entrance exam 2015 was be issued to only those students who were eligible for the exam and had completed the application form in all respects – on or before the specified application submission deadline.

Students had to download the admit card from the official website and take its print out.

The candidates are advised to immediately scan their SRMEE admit card after downloading it, checking carefully all the details including their:

• Name (with spelling),

• Photograph,

• Address,

• Address of the test centre allotted to them, and

• Test schedule.

In case of a discrepancy, they should immediately notify the Director, Admissions.

Candidates are not allowed to write the test without a valid hall ticket and an ID proof. Admit card is also needed at the time of counselling and admission, hence, one should keep it safe.
 

SRM Medical Results 2015

The Merit List for the exam is prepared on the basis of the total marks of the candidates in SRMEE 2015. They are called for counselling on the basis of their SRMEE rank.

Only the ranks of the candidates are declared. This year, SRMEE rank list was declared on May , 2015.

Students can check their entrance exam results on the official website. The university will also SMS students the ranks they have obtained on their registered mobile number.

SRM does not provide photocopy of the answer sheets to the students, nor it offers provisions for re-grading or re-totaling of answer sheets.
 

Counselling of SRM Medical Entrance Exam

According to the SRM Entrance Exam notification 2015, candidates are shortlisted for counselling on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam. The counselling is conducted at the SRM University premises Kattankulathur, Chennai.

Counselling procedure for undergraduate medical programs at SRM University will be conducted on May, 2015. Students will have to download and print out their counseling letter and counseling record from the official website and reach the venue as per the given counseling schedule for allotment of seats.

The seats will only be allocated after the verification of the following documents at the time of counselling:

• Counseling call letter / Provisional allotment letter

• SRMEE - 2015 Rank Card / Hall Ticket

• High School (Class X) marks sheet.

• Marks sheet of Class XII board examination

• Community certificate, if applicable

If a student fails to reach the venue on the given date and time, the seat will be offered to the next candidate in order of merit.

Selected students will have to pay to prescribed fees to confirm the acceptance of their seat and branch in the form of Demand Draft of Rs 1,00,000/- (or the full tuition fee for the first year of the course) drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. Students will have to pay the rest of the tuition fee within the prescribed time period.
