Exam centers are chosen by candidates at the time of filling out application. The University tries ot allot the centre as per the order of preference clicked by the applicant during online application. However, the final decision of allotment lies with the University.
Candidates can opt for only three exam cities.
City and address for the center of examination will be given on the Admit Card.
No request for change of center will be considered under any circumstances.
Candidates must bear all costs such as transportation, etc., to appear for the examination.
Timings of the exam are mentioned on the Admit Card and it is the responsibility of the candidate to reach the center on allotted date and time.

Course Duration: 4 years and six months plus one year compulsory, rotatory internship to be awarded a degree.

For MBBS
Candidates need to appear for the JIPMER ENTRACNE Exam 2019 to qualify.
Candidate must be an Indian citizen. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are also eligible to apply.
Must have attained 17 years of age at the time of admission or should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2019 i.e. should have been born on or after 1st January 2003.
The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below
The Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) or any other elective with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education
The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology at the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes / OPH the marks obtained in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology taken together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination is 40%.
For OPH candidates in general category the minimum marks taken together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination will be 45%.
The Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination other than those mentioned in the list appended in Annexure – I, will have to submit an Eligibility Certificate before admission is finalized. Obtaining such an Eligibility Certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi is essential for OCI and Foreign Nationals who are nominated by Govt. of India for admission to JIPMER M.B.B.S. Course.
Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying examination in March / April 2019 and whose results have not yet been declared can also apply for admission, if other eligibility criteria are satisfied.
Based on the result of JIPMER MBBS ENTRACNE - 2019, separate merit lists will be prepared for each category. As per the Medical Council of India Guidelines, the candidates for admission must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of competitive JIPMER MBBS 2019] merit list is given below:

Accordingly, names of only those candidates who the above percentile as based on the category they belong to will be included in the merit list of the JIPMER MBBS ENTRACNE – 2019.
The JIPMER Institute will admit 200 students for the undergraduate MBBS degree session starting in 2019. Of the total seats, four seats are allotted to eligible Orthopedically Physically Handicapped (OPH) candidates on horizontal reservation basis. Procedure for Application Submission
Candidates seeking admission to entrance examination are required to apply on-line.
Log on to link in the Home page www.jipmer.edu.in. and navigate to the link “Apply on-line
MBBS admission – 2019”.
Read the prospectus and instruction carefully.
The candidate should acquaint himself/herself with all requirements with regard to filling up the application on-line.
Mode of payments are a) Net Banking, b) Credit Card, c) Debit Card
The candidate is advised to download a copy of their filled in application which would contain Application No., Personal details, scanned photograph, scanned signature and the payment details.
Incomplete application, application with false details would be rejected
No request for change in the details provided in the application would be considered, after the submission the On-line application by clicking the “submit button”
In case the candidate has found an error of entry committed by him/her in the application, a new application has to be submitted along with the prescribed fee. The earlier application will automatically stand cancelled.
Fees would not be refunded under any circumstances.

Hall Tickets for the Entrance Examination shall be available for download to candidates whose applications are complete in all respects, from third week of may 2019 onwards.
The hall ticket will contain name and date of birth as typed by the candidate in the application, photo and signature image as uploaded by the candidate; Examination City allotted and roll number.
Change in category / status in the hall ticket will alone be considered for rectification.
Written request with copy of the downloaded application and hall ticket and proof of category / status should be sent to “The Registrar (Academic)”, JIPMER, Puducherry-605 006, so as to reach on or before third week of may 2019.
JIPMER will not be responsible for postal delay. Request received third week of may 2019 will not be considered.
Any such change will be done in the hall ticket only on payment of fee Rs 1000/- or Rs 800/- (as applicable) by way of demand draft, drawn in favour of “The Accounts Officer”, Puducherry, payable at Puducherry, as for a fresh application.
Request for rectification / change of any other details in the hall ticket details shall not be considered under any circumstances.
No candidate will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination unless he/she holds the Hall Ticket from the website of JIPMER.
Syllabus
The level of questions at JIPMER ENTRACNE Exam 2019 will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE for XI & XII Standards. Syllabi for Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology shall be as specified by CBSE for class 11th and 12th under 10 + 2 scheme for students passing class 12th in the year 2019.
Exam Pattern
The JIPMER MBBS ENTRACNE Exams will be a computer based test. The University suggests that you reach the venue by 7.30 a.m. so as to locate your lab/room. Entry for examination is strictly prohibited after 9.30 a.m.

The paper will be for 2 and a half hours or 150 minutes duration.
The exam is conducted in English
It shall carry 200 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Each correct answer will be awarded one mark.
There is No negative marking.
Physics – 60 marks, Chemistry – 60 marks, Biology – 60 marks, Reasoning and English – 20 marks
The response of the candidate for a question(s), on click of “submit button” before closing of examination shall be considered as the response chosen by the candidate.
Read each question carefully before submitting the submit button.
Press the answer only if you are sure of the answer. Remember, once an answer has been submitted, you cannot return to that question.

The JIPMER MBBS Entrance result will be based on merit. The University does not send notification to individual candidates. Candidates are expected to visit the university website to check out the JIPMER ENTRACNE MBBS Exam result. It cannot be stressed enough that the University will not re-evaluate any answer sheets.

Once the results have been declared, students will once again have to visit the University website to learn about the day they have been called for counseling, if selected. Once again, candidates appearing for MBBS ENTRACNE exam 2019 must realize that individual notifications are not sent. List of candidates called for counseling or wait listed for counseling will be notified only in the JIPMER Website: www.jipmer.edu.in Candidates and parents are advised to browse the website periodically for updated information. Counseling sessions are expected to begin in the month of June.
Individual letters will not be sent to the selected candidates and to those who are placed in the waiting list. Please check the website http://jipmer.edu.in/ for the lists.
Candidates will be required to attend Counseling and Medical Examination at the Institute at their own cost on the notified date. Before entry to the counseling hall, candidates will be subjected to biometric authentication of finger print and image.
They have to produce the original Mark Sheet of the qualifying examination and other original documents mentioned in this Prospectus such as proof of age, Transfer Certificate, Character Certificate, etc.
Admission will not be finalized unless the candidates produce all the original documents and the Transfer Certificate.
There will be no allocation of marks for the counseling. Only after due verification of documents, biometric data, the provisional admission letters will be issued. Candidate found medically fit by JIPMER Medical Board and subsequently admitted to the course will be required to pay the fees in full in cash immediately.
Also, if eligible candidates, who fulfill the requirements, are not available under Other Backward Classes / Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / OPH Category, that vacancy will be filled by the Unreserved Category.
To fill the vacancies arising due to the failure of appearance by the selected candidates, sufficient number of candidates from the waiting list will also be called for counseling intimating their merit position in order. Such candidates will have to appear for the counseling on the notified date at their own risk and cost.
Candidates who fail to attend co Tentative Schedule for Online Counseling counseling / medical examination on the notified date shall forfeit their claim for admission and placement in the waiting list.
