Information is provided for the first year entrance exam for undergraduate program for MBBS. It is an all-India examination and will be held at various centers across the country.
 

Exams Information

The GGSIPU MBBS Entrance Exam will be held in two stages. Those qualifying for the Stage 1 exam are eligible to appear for the Stage 2 examinations.

Exam Centers for Stage 1: Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kolkata & Lucknow

Exam Centers for Stage 2: MBBS Stage 2 tests will be conducted in Delhi only.                                                          

  • Exam centers are chosen by candidates at the time of filling out application. However, a Center if allotted at the University’s discretion.

  • City and address for the center of examination will be given on the Admit Card.

  • Change of exam center will not be entertained by the University.

  • Candidates must bear all costs such as transportation, etc., to appear for the examination.

  • Timings of the exam are mentioned on the Admit Card and it is the responsibility of the candidate to reach the center on allotted date and time.

Eligibility Criteria

For MBBS

Candidates need to appear for the GGSIPU CET Exam 2015 to be conducted in two stages. All those qualifying the first stage can appear for the second stage. Selection will be made on merit, based on the marks secured

Candidate must be an Indian citizen. NRI not eligible.

He/She must be not less than 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2015.
 

Educational Qualifications

Candidate should have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent examination of the recognised University/Board of any Indian State with PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY and ENGLISH (Core or Elective or Functional).

Candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% in case of

SC/ST candidates, subject to availability of seat for these categories in the respective institutions).

To claim seat under MBBS programme at NDMC for the academic session 2015-16, the candidate must have studied 11th and 12th classes regularly from a recognized school within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Notes:

  • All those candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) and expect to pass the examination with required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the CET: MBBS 2015. However, their candidature will be considered only if they are able to produce documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks at the time of counselling for admission.

  • It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite eligibility and qualifications for  admission. Appearing for the written examination does not necessarily mean acceptance of eligibility.

  • There will be no rounding-off of the percentage of marks of qualifying examination while deciding the basic eligibility of any candidate for admission e.g. if a candidate obtained 49.9% marks in his/her qualifying examination, then it will not be rounded-off to 50%. Therefore, the candidate is not eligible for that programme where minimum requirement  of  marks is 50%.In case candidate for any reason fills the minimum% wrongly in verification form, he/she shall be exclusively responsible.

  • The cases of candidates who have qualified CET 2015,but have Compartment/Supplementary in any paper of the qualifying examination degree at any stages, will be considered by the Admission Officer as per University policy and accordingly he shall take final decision regarding grant of admission to such candidates during academic session 2015-16 as per GGSIPU policy given below:

i. Compartment/Supplementary cases at any stage who have appeared for examination(s) and the result of the same is/are not declared by the time of counselling/admission, such candidates will not be considered for admission for the academic session 2015-16.

ii. In case the result of the Compartment/Supplementary examination(s) is/are declared by the time  of admission /counselling and the candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions as mentioned above, then such candidates would be eligible for the admission for the academic session 2015-16.


Entrance Examination

Based on the result of GGSIPU MBBS CET - 2015, separate merit lists will be prepared for each category. As per the Medical Council of India Guidelines, the candidates for admission must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of competitive GGSIPU MBBS 2015] (Stage-II) by securing not less than 50% marks for General Category Candidates and 40% in case of SC/ST Category Candidates, subject to availability of seats for these categories in respective institutions. Accordingly, names of only those candidates who secure 50% or more marks (40% or more in case of SC / ST candidates) in the GGSIPU MBBS CET -2015 (Stage-II)] will be included in the merit lists.

Applications

Procedure for Application Submission

  • A completed and duly signed application along with the documents listed must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office.

  • Application can be submitted personally or sent by Registered Post./Speed Post/Courier Services or uploaded at IPU official website.

  • Candidates are advised to use an A 4 size envelope to submit the application. Please do not fold the application before posting.

Admit Cards

Download Admit Card here. Your User ID and password will be generated at the time of submission of online application.

Please ensure that you have your admit card or hall ticket with you at the time of appearing for examination.

All those who have qualified for the Stage 2 exam to be held on 23rd May 2015 are required to download their admit cards at CET 2015 Admit Card using their respective login ID and password. The admit cards would be made available before or on April 2015.
 

Syllabus & Pattern For Entrance Examination

Syllabus

The level of questions at GGSIPU CET Exam 2015 will be that of 12th class under the 10+2 Scheme/Intermediate Science. Syllabi for Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) shall be as specified by CBSE for class 11th and 12th under 10+2 scheme for students passing class 12th in the year 2015.

Exam Pattern

The GGSIPU MBBS CET Exams will be for three hours for each stage.

  • The paper will be for 3 hours duration

  • The exam is conducted in English

  • It shall carry 200 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. The question will be divided as 33.33 % for Physics, 33.33 % for Chemistry and 33.33#% for Biology (Botany and Zoology).

  • Each question will carry three marks.

  • One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. Incorrect answers will include ‘wrong answer’ and ‘more than one answer to a question’.

  • Use Black point Pen Only. Use of Pencils is not allowed.

Appearing for the GGSIPU MBBS CET Exam 2015

  • Please make sure that you carry an extra black ball point pen while appearing for the Medical Examinations.

  • Read each question carefully before answering. 

  • Shade an answer only if you are sure of the answer. Remember, once an answer has been shaded, you cannot cancel and re-shade another option. This will result in negative marking.

Tips & Tricks for GGSIPUMBBS CET Exam Preparation

  • Become Exam Proficient: Become an expert on everything related to your GGSIPU 2015 exam, be it the syllabus, the pattern and probability of questions. Since it is conducted in two stages you need to prepare for both. Make sure to go through previous year question papers. Apart from your school teachers and MBBS coaching along with online medical exam preparation to be sure to will guide you on the important questions or topics and prepare them thoroughly.

  • Know Thyself: Knowing your own strengths and weakness is one of the most important aspects to be successful. Appear for mock exams to know your preparation status. Attempting Sample Papers for Practice

You will get only 180 minutes to solve a total of 200 questions. So, it is imperative that you practice all of them repeatedly to build up both speed and precision. Revision of all topics along with your paper solving abilities will definitely impact your chances of selection.

  • Attempt all previous year papers in allotted time. Solving papers will build up speed and accuracy.

Results

The GGSIPU MBBS CET result is declared in two stages. The University does not send notification to individual candidates. Candidates are expected to visit the university website to check out the GGSIPU CET MBBS Exam result. It cannot be stressed enough that the University will not re-evaluate any answer sheets.

Results for the MBBS CET Stage II exams will be announced on the 23rd of May. GGSIIPU will publish the list of candidates selected.Click here to check your result.
 

Counselling

Once the results have been declared, students will once again have to visit the University website to learn about the day they have been called for counseling, Once again, candidates appearing for MBBS CET exam 2015 must realize that individual notifications are not sent. Candidates have to check out their counseling dates and time schedules on the University website. Counseling sessions are expected to begin in the second week of June.

Procedure

  • Selected candidates will be invited by the University for Counseling sessions

  • Candidates need to be on time, and carry with them all the requisite declaration forms and certificates as requested by the University.

  • Candidates will be offered a seat during the GGSIPU MBBS CET counseling session. Please note that if you reject the seat than you are not elgible to gain it during the next counseling session.

  • Counseling sessions will continue till the allotted seats are not filled as per the University guidelines.
