Dear sir, I am NRI student appearing CBSE 12^th, interested in B.Tech Mechanical Eng. In India and PG in US top university. Please advise me on the following choice, NIT Trichy, NITK, Anna University Chennai, VIT, SRM. Academic quality, recognition by US top universities for PG admission & living environment.

Dear student,

If you are interested in engieering in India, I would advise you to try to get into IITs or NITs as they are premier institutes for engineering and are recognized on global level. Students from these institutes can easily go for postgraduation in US and canada with scholarship as they are supposed to be bright and having high potential.

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
