E=-21.79×10-19Z2/N^2
So for Li^2+
Z=3 and N=2
Putting these values in above formula,we get
-49.02×10-19J
This is the value of energy of electron.
If we give energy valued above, electron will take off.
So this is the value of binding energy requried to hold the electron.
