First ionisation energy for hydrogen is 21.79×10 power _19 so what will be the binding energy for second exciting state of Li2+

Formula for energy of electron in any shell-
E=-21.79×10-19Z2/N^2
So for Li^2+
Z=3 and N=2
Putting these values in above formula,we get
-49.02×10-19J
This is the value of energy of electron.
If we give energy valued above, electron will take off.
So this is the value of binding energy requried to hold the electron.
