Take Sin A common from both and divide X and Y to get X/y=(1-cosA)/(1+cosA)
Apply Componendo and dividendo to get the value of cos A in terms of X and Y

From this find SinA

Put sin A and Cos A in the trig identity sin2A+cos2A=1 to getb an equality without A and just in terms of X and Y
