Why the rotation when being in clockwise direction gives negative angle while if being in anticlockwise direction gives a positive angle ? (between initial side and terminal side).

Dear student

It is our convention to consider clockwise negetive and otherwise as positive

Also defining +ve and -ve X,Y axes
