radian is the angle made at the center of a circle by an arc whose length is equal to the radius of the circle. The radian is a unit of measure for  angles  used mainly in trigonometry. It is used instead of degrees. Whereas a full circle is 360 degrees, a full circle is just over 6 radians. Because a full circle is also exactly 360°, each radian comes out to approximately 57.296°.
