simply use componendo and dividendo
(cos2beta+1)/(cos2beta–1)= [cos(∂+gama)+cos(∂-gama)]/[cos(∂+gama)–cos(∂-gama)]= cos(∂)cos(gama)/(-sin(∂)singama)
tan^2beta=tan(∂)tangama
hence they are in GP
