Using tan3x – tan2x – tanx = tan3x . tan2x . tanx => tan2x + tan x = tan3x – tanx tan2x tan3x 
tanx + tan2x + tan3x = 0 => 2 tan3x –  tanx tan2x tan3x = 0 => tan3x = 0
or tanx tan2x = 2 
Opening tan2x = 2tanx /1 – tan2x 
tanx. tan2x = 2 => tan2x = 2 => tanx = ± 21/2
