tan 2x = 2 tanx / (1 - tan²x)
we have solution of Q 2
cotx - 2 cot 2x
= 1/tanx - 2 / tan 2x
= 1/tanx - 2(1 - tan²x)/2 tan x
= 1/tanx - (1 - tan²x)/tanx
= [1 - (1 - tan²x)] / tanx
= tan²x / tanx
= tanx
