let p/a= m which means a/p= 1/m
q/b= n which means b/q= 1/n
r/c= s which means c/r= 1/s
so we are given m+n+s= 1+i, squaring we get m^2+n^2+s^2+2(mn+ns+sm)= (1+i)^2= 1 – 1+2i= 2i
or λ + 2(mn+ns+sm)= 2i.........(1)
and 1/m + 1/n + 1/s= 0, multiply this both sides by mns
mns(1/m + 1/n + 1/s)= 0, or ns+ms+mn= 0.......(2)
put (2) in (1) we get
λ + 2*0= 2i
or λ= 2i
or λ^4= 2^4*i^4
or λ^4= 2^4= 16
