Dear Kamal

If tan x = a/b
Then

sin x = a/sqrt(a²+b²)
cos x = b/ sqrt(a²+b²)

Hence
sin²x = a²/(a²+b²)
cos²x = b²/(a²+b²)

Now sin²x + cos²x = (a²+b²)/(a²+b²) = 1
