you have to mention to which point simplification is required as

we can solve by beginning

alpha^2/beta^2 = (tan y /tan x) ^2

= sec ^ y -1/ sec ^ x – 1
= (sec y +1)(sec y -1)/ (sec x +1)(sec y -1)

and so on
