In the ques in sqrt(17)-sqrt(12) multiply and divide by sqrt(17)+sqrt(12) to get 5/(sqrt(17)+sqrt(12)) similarly other becomes 5/(sqrt(11)+sqrt(6)) .. now both have same numerator and denominator of 1st is greater than 2nd .. hence 2nd is greater than 1st.
