let’s say    a= cos-1x     and     b= sin-1x
   let us denote pi by $ due to lack of symbols;
   and   a+b = $/2
    a2 – b2 > 0
    (a+b)(a-b) > 0
    ($/2)(a-b)> 0
therefore we get  a-b > 0
 cos-1x – sin-1x > 0
cos-1x – ($/2 – cos-1x) >0
2cos-1x – $/2 > 0
cos-1x > $/4
now its quite simple to determine the solution of x

sry bro a little change in answer   final ans is    [-1, 1/root2 ) 
open bracket .
hope you have got the reason why an open bracket
this is bcoz in ques we only have greater than symbol    and not greater than or equal to symbol
