Hello Student,

$\\ \\x^2-11x+a \\x^2-14x +2a \\$there will be several values of a$ \\ \\x_{eq1}={11 \pm \sqrt{121-4a} \over 2} \\x_{eq2}={14 \pm \sqrt{196-8a} \over 2} \\$you can equate any one of them to find a $ \\$
