if x^(2) -2xcos(a) +1=0 and y^(2) -2ycos(b)+1=0 t hen 2cos(a+b) = ? answer is xy + 1/xy .how is it?? my answer is coming x/y + y/x

if x^(2) -2xcos(a) +1=0  and y^(2) -2ycos(b)+1=0


then 2cos(a+b) = ?


answer is xy + 1/xy .how is it??


my answer is coming x/y + y/x
