Hi Vijaya Ragavan:

 

Tan90 = sin90/cos90.

 

And we know cos90 = 0.

So tanx, as x→90 will tend to infinity.

 

As such tan90 is not defined, because cos90 is in the denominator (which is 0) No fraction should have 0 in the denominator.

tan 90° is the tangent(slope) of a line making 90° with the x-axis.

tan 90°=infinity(∞)
