what is tan 90
Hi Vijaya Ragavan:
Tan90 = sin90/cos90.
And we know cos90 = 0.
So tanx, as x→90 will tend to infinity.
As such tan90 is not defined, because cos90 is in the denominator (which is 0) No fraction should have 0 in the denominator.
Best Regards,
Ashwin (IIT Madras).
it is undefined because it is a number divided by zero
tan 90° is the tangent(slope) of a line making 90° with the x-axis.
tan 90°=infinity(∞)
