In Inverse trigonometry why the range of inverse functions restricted those particular intervals.Those functions are onto functions in many intervals.If we change the interval the properties is going to change?

Dear K Bramhendra

Inverse functions has to take care of period. they are periodic functions we dont have inverse functions for periodic functions...thats why we define domains for them.

for example....if tan(45) = tan(180+45) 

so answers are 45 and 225...and so on..which one we have to take from those answers..thats why we define domain..and this domain have all the values ranging
