Hi,
- Charcoal is actually produced when wood is strongly heated in absence of oxygen. During the heating process water and other volatile components in the wood get lost leaving behind pure carbon.
Whereas gas carbon is obtained by destructive distillation of coal or by heating petroleum product under high temperature in closed container.
- charcoal is a non conductor of electricity whereas gas carbon conducts electricity and heat.
