the density of a solid will be given by mass/ volume ,
so, there are certain defect which will affect the density of the crystals , they are below ..
1- schotky defect – it will decrease the density of the crystal .
2- frankel defect – no change in the density of the substances .
3- vacancy defect – it also decrease the density of solid , but its for non ionic crystals .
4- interstitial defect – it doesnot have any significant effect on the density of solid crystal ,
