Will current flow more easily through a thick wire or a thin wire of the same material, when connected to the same source? Why?

Dear Student

The current will flow more easily through a thick wire as compared to the thin wire because the resistance of thick wire is less than that of thin wire. Less resistance, means more current.

Thanks

Dear student
As per theohm’s lawof electrical resistance, the thickness of the conductive wire is inversely proportional to the amount of resistance, as the quantity of electrons in the thin wire is lower due to the less conductive surface

The current will flow more easily through the thick wire than the thin wire.
It is because the resistance of a conductor is inversely proportional to its area of cross-section.
If thicker the wire, less is resistance and hence more easily the current flows.
